Next season Bury Amateurs will be playing their football at their new Cams Lane ground in the Manchester League.

After a few successful seasons in the Lancashire Amateur League that has seen the club move from the 2nd Division to the top few places in the Premier Division the club has decided that the time is right to move on.

With the development of the new ground at Cams Lane in full flight it was felt that the time was now right to move the club forward and onto the FA League Pyramid. The club has ambitious plans to play North West Counties football within the next few seasons and the move to the Manchester League along with the move to the new ground are important steps in the process.

Over the past 12 months Bury have built a very impressive young team that have gained valulable experience in the Lancashire Amateur League. The building blocks are in place with a youth academy for Under 17s and 18s that has already seen 4 players break into the 1st team on a regular basis along with at least another 5 players that have made an appearance or two.

The Youth Team plays in the North West Youth Alliance League which boasts youth teams from clubs like FC United, Altrincham, Marine, Morecambe, Ashton Athletic, Formby. In their first season in this league the team have won the cup and are on the verge of being promoted to the Premier Division. Next season they are forming a second team to play in the league and these 2 teams will feed the adult teams and form a production line of young talent for years to come.
