Rammy break new ground pre-season
Ramsbottom Cricket Club have broken new ground for the start of the 2008 season, by stretching their plans for pre-season over the Pennines to play Central Yorkshire League 2007 Champion side, Townville.
Rammy start with their regular friendly against Ormskirk on 5th April, then the following Saturday 12th April the take on the Castleford team. The following day they meet Bolton League 2007 Champions side Walkden at Acre Bottom.
Andy Dalby chairman of the players committee wanted the team to move away from the regular pre-season set up. "It's good to have a bit of variety" says Andy, "and these three matches will give the lads some good quality competition before the Lancashire League starts on the 20th April".
